Without

Oddly enough, when I think of the

one thing

I would need on a desert island,

it ends up being my mother.

Sure

we fight on a regular basis,

and she bothers me more than

my insides know possible.

But

she is the only thing on this planet

I could not really live without,

on an island or not.

While most of my choice

(appropriate)

warrant a fight,

I have no one else I would rather cry on.

Life without my mom,

and by extension,

my best friend,

would not shine nearly as bright.

Love is painful

and messy

and important

and a day without her

doesn't really seem worth living.
