Without

In thinking of the question asked
I pictured often of the past
What could I learn to live with out?
give up without any doubt?
The list was easy at first,
Almost like it was rehearsed
Without my car, without my hats
Without my dogs, and without my cat
The decisions came flowing out of me
But there were things I could not let free
Could I go without my bed
Without my phone, I'd lose my head
Without my shirt, without my shoes?
How am I suppose to choose?
Then as my cheeks were turning pink
I stopped and began to think
The tears came gushing out of me
Because I began to see
Others do not have the joys
Of choosing between the toys
I had been selfish and could not see
The answer right in front of me
Dare I say,
That I could give it all away?
The only thing I'd truly miss
Is the joy of life, complete bliss
I was so ignorant to see
The happiness inside of me
Happiness I could not live without
I can say without a doubt
Happiness is all I need
In the game of life to succeed
