Without the Cloud of Ignorance
I’ve been sober for weeks
I do not regret this.
Somehow
the absence of drugs
is something I can tolerate
the real addiction
is to
being numb.
That encompassing
nothingness.
Floating through life
oblivious
blissful.
Parting is such sweet sorrow.
My horizon is clear
without the cloud of ignorance
fogging my view.
