Without Music

It all began with a vibration;

the serene violence,

the inspiring calm,

A single note struck hard.

The string struck by a hammer,

the stick beating the drum,

the life rushing out, breaking through,

all out of a mouth.

The result, a combination,

one that transcends space and time

while leaving a trace,

a beautiful path of songs.

Music. Life without it does not

turn black and white,

it is far worse

because it makes one blind.

My life would fall

right into the void,

into a pit, lifeless and dull,

if music ceased to roar.

God made music,

the ultimate Author,

the supreme composer

who gave life to this art.

I could not be more thankful

because through this creation

He gave us this gift,

a gift that inspires to live.

I could not live without,

I cannot not imagine what it'd be like,

Without music I cannot function,

Without music I loose myself.
