Without them

Before I couldnt see the moon

I couldnt see the stars in the sky.

The Earth was a blur of color and motion.

Now I see the crisp edges

the individual colors

the moon.

Every morning I reach over and feel the smooth glass and know I can see the world.

Mornings where they are no longer there I panic.

I can no longer see the world.

Everyhthing is a shape, blurry, terrifying.

People are just voices, animals are just noise, the world a mixture of sound.

I find that smooth glass and those hard metal frames a comfort

my pathway to what the world is.

My glasses what would my world be without them.
