Without Them

It wasn't fun without you

Though you didn't know I missed you

It just wasn't the same

And I couldn't share the surrounding laughter

Instead tears

Tears of remembering the times we had

Just us

In our small world

But as we grew

So did the world

Until it swallowed us whole

And you left

Left me here

With no one else to turn to.

...

I know it's not your fault

You had to go away

To grow up

I was too young

I had to stay

But there wasn't much left life to enjoy

When you were gone

No it wasn't the same

The game changed

It was no longer fun

When you guys left

...

Had to go get your education

Left me at the train station this junction of life where i was in between choosing what i wanted what i needed.

And through it all, missing you, realizing I wasn't young any more    Had to grow up and leave the child in me behind.

When you were gone
