Without You

Without You, life is just an empty space

A purpose that can be erased

No drive to have, nothing to chase

Without You, I fall and bleed mysterious blood

Means nothing compared to the flood

Of red, so much red, the color of good

Without you, smiling faces fade to tears

Beneath the surface is thousands of years

Of forsaken love and spoon-fed fears

Without you, a crumbling world falls to its knees

Some in anger, some in pleas

Broken faith and broken dreams

Without you, threads of me do not exist

And my absence means less then morning mist

Without You, I am not known, so I am not missed
