Without Your Glory

Father, I am urged to please you
I am urged to desire more of you.

I am not starting by scratch, you gave me a manual.
A manual with instructions and called it the bible.

You said stay sanctified. You said to stay true.
You said abstain from sin and to do what I have to.

Lord, I repent for not taking heed.
I neglected your word to fulfill my own greed.

The past I can't change but the future I can.
I'm chasing after you no longer chasing the man

You called me to greatness. You called me to be holy.
Willpower is not enough, It's meaningless.........

Poetry is therapeutic to me. Over the years I have found a way to include it in anything and I love it. It helps me to keep my mind off of the things that I go through. Especially now.
