Woe is Love

She takes the dagger and thrusts it into her heart.
Why did things have to turn out this way?
How can something people described as venerated, be so vexatious?
She takes the affliction and molds it into something more atrocious.
Why did things have to turn out this way?
She thought she had finally found her heart's desire.
She takes her thoughts and drowns in it.
Why did things have to turn out this way?
Her thoughts were suffused with that person.
She takes her feelings and casts them away.
Why did things have to turn out this way?
Heartbreak; she once thought of as cliche and idiotic, but she has now experienced it.
All she did was love someone the same gender as she.
I guess that's why things turned out this way.
