Woe Is Us

WOE IS US

A bene placeto

We learn osmotically to yearn.

On every page let out rage.

Slate our dad what's more add --

A swat at mum and every last chum.

Go for them all. Let the chips fall.

Modesty be damned, all lines enjam.

Forget scansion. Hold rhyme for ransom.

See sonnets aghast: 14 lines in the past.

History, mystery, all stuff. What hurts is enough.

Don't deny pain. Complain. Complain.

No more nos -- anything goes!
