Woes of Love

Thu, 08/06/2015 - 13:30 -- Ayslain

Woes of love are silly,
For hearts like you and me

Yearning cries for romances,
The same, old, and tired dances

Midnights wasted, drenched in blue
Taunted by his “you just won’t do.”

But foolishness is not our game,
Never been that fragile dame.

Find me difficult, too hard to please?
Then boy, do run along.

Enjoyed your lips,
And all the tips,

Your struggles to be strong
But a symphony can be offensive
When you’re a simple song.

Prince, thy love is weak and obscene
Punishable, surely, to a Queen

Instead we scheme,
Weave, and dream,

Love gets lost, but never you
My friend, you’ll always do.
