The Wolf Remains

She picked up the glass

Knowing it’s wrath

It’s broken like her

It was all just a blur

A tear fell down

It splashed on the ground

She grabbed hold of the shard

Now her back was scarred

Later they found her

Murdered by a murderer

As she lay along the ground,

Crimson bloom all around,

A wolf walk quietly

Padding towards her broken body

Upon his back he bore a weight

An agony he could not deflate

The life that was taken away too soon

So now he cries and sings to the moon

Her weary soul finds it's rest

No longer is she in distress

She clings to the one who helped her fight

And saved her soul that weary night

The moon she became

And the wolf remained

He sings to her still

While she peeks down of her own free will

He carries her heart

Near and far

And still she sings

To the stars

The stars sing back

The sun does too

But the wolf remains

Missing his love that was true

In agony the moon

Does still sit

While her heart

Slowly rips

And still the wolf remains

His life unchanged

For the love that escaped

And the life she did take

The secret revealed

The story told the

Pain set free

Never old

The wolf remained

As the story goes

Of the two that loved

With a passion so bold

The wolf remained

He still sang to his moon

And he would never forget

His love in the sky above
