Wolves of the World
For an innocent girl in this brutal world
With eyes glowing and hair curled
She would change the wolves
The ones that stalk and pray on lights of sunshine
The ones that puts more grapes in her wine
The ones that grab and push
The ones that gather to plan an ambush
The ones that grab her
Drug her till she’s in a blur
The ones that rob the sunshine of their shine
The ones that rip the innocent out of their spine
The wolves grab and claw
Teeth as sharp as a saw
Snaggle-toothed grin
Her tears rolling from his teeth to his chin
She gazed at a wolf
She fell in love
He did as well,
Well sort of
One night
There was a fight,
When she said no, he heard yes
Without her consent, he began to undress
Her beautiful eyes, they lost their glow
Now she is dull from head to toe
And left wondering
With nowhere else to go.
