A Woman

And I'm a writer build most of my pieces off of experience or imaginary life... what I wish or what has no chances.. my leap of faith in every step I take is where my motivation strives from Sometimes I'm nervous Scared of the present Because I'm a woman Growing up in the times Where it's time for us to shine And through the struggles That we go through We're just trynna Get it right But it's all wrong Because I am a woman Need to present my self a certain way But that way isn't okay When we could never get a break Every second of the day As if life's just getting closer In a blink of an eye And I'm only getting older My legs are getting broader And my breast are shaping up more In the future I wanna be ready But I'm nervous Yesterday I overcame But I'm struggling with today Questioning everything But don't believe in anything A woman From when we make our first break The cramps in our stomachs To the bumps on our face We stop believing that we are pretty Because of what social media thinks we should be How we should look What we should wear A woman Getting older And losing control Our minds are working But we stopped thinking We are told actions speak Louder than words So we are moving Boys come in the picture Getting fixtures They don't love you baby girl But your getting naked A woman Open and vulnerable It was her first time so She's hurting crying out Silent cause her momma can't know Now she's alone The guy she was with Got what he wanted and dipped The fear of baring a child couldn't Even compare to the fear of mama's wrath And she's scared A woman fully grown with lack of Self control so no longer a woman But instead a little girl The pressure is intense But you learn in the end That you are your own Take a leader role Every thing that glitters isn't gold Mysteries untold A woman You aren't one yet but That's where you are heading Strong and gifted You won't give up Or show regret Bold The list will go on And for sure There are times You feel you wanna break down and cry We Live in a world Where it's okay To think expectations Are found in others But no its found in yourself What do you expect to accomplish What are your expecting capabilities Forget anyone else You are a woman Deep down inside Just give it some time Life will fly by But you're gonna shine As a woman
