The Woman

I see you standing there

With a confused face.

Trying to fix your messy hair

In a dress made of lace.

I look at you

and smile.

You smile too,

And it goes on for a while.

I believe you're happy

And never sad.

Because you don't like crappy

And you're never mad.

You're a role model in many ways

And I will never forget.

The smile you had was never a phase.

You were the woman.
