A Woman Lost

Lost. Helpless

Leaving behind what I once knew.

Supposing that there is something more. Along the path of emotional wealth,

lies betrayal, denial, and empty expectations.

In search of soul medication really means social mutilation.

Redundant inspiration turned cold.

Leaves rustle. This path has one way out. I can't look down,

that would mean that I trip,

Falling into a puddle, once again.

Motivation for complacement never shown.
Depravation of affection is to balme.

Of course, that's what they say. It's a shame what they say.

They speak half-truths and fairy tales riddled with hope.

This lone path. Empty. Eerie. Frightening. I am lost.

Trees that I once gazed as as a child seem distant.

Admiration turned into aggravation.

I want out.

But I am lost.

Trees, give me a sign. Weakened legs and spirit sore.

Familiarity is a foolish tote of the past.

I am a woman lost. Contaminated. Alienated.

A woman who's way out is merely a thought. Fabricated truths to balance reality.

I am lost, only to be found by my Father.
