As Women

As women we are supposed to be gentle,

we are supposed to be tough,

we are supposed to be perfect,

we are supposed to make mistakes,

we are supposed to be fearless,

we are supposed to be afraid of the night,

we are supposed to be independent,

we are supposed to be dependent on men,

we are supposed to speak our minds,

we are supposed to bite our tongues,

we are supposed to make chores look effortless,

we are supposed to ask for assistance,

we are supposed to be strong,

we are supposed to be helpless,

we are supposed to be women,

we are supposed to act like girls.
