Women deserve a voice too No matter their color black white or blue They used to be viewed as babysitters and cooks If they stepped near a voting booth, they could expect dirty looks They worked hard for numerous years Failure upon failure brought more and more tears Until one day Bainbridge Colby signed on the dotted line The 19th Amendment had passed, and the women couldn't help but shine With this amendment women would be granted the right to vote Always using their voice to help decide who would captain the governmental boat.
