Women in Iran

The chador draped across her face

Hides her

Oppresses her

Makes her ashamed of her race.

The power within, the power inside

The power she's always been told she must hide.

In modern day Iran, views must be changed

Girls lined up, arranged then exchanged

Respect is lost, potential in unequal 

The one thing thats asked for is a life that is peaceful.

Instead girls live a life under control and shame

Maltreatment and suffering 

Ideals that seemed to be entertained

For much too long, the limit has been reached

Women coming together, revolting in the streets

It must be understood, that for a countries success,

Women must be empowered, never suppressed.
