Women in my Life

All around me people struggle

My mom's work hours are hectic and long

My aunt works from 3 to 5 without a rustle

They have told me of their wrongs.

They are the product of their decisions

those they've warned me of

for they hope to clear my indecisions

as all my passions diverge on different paths of love.

The strong women in my life

have shown me what not to do

for they want my future unburdened with strife.

I am forever grateful for my childhood zoo

for it has given me not only the skills to succeed

but also the passion to fuel where I want my life to lead.
