Women objectified

You may say I’m pissed but I am simply aware

That being a woman can cause a scare

At a young age women aren’t prepared

For what life throws at them is to hard not to share.

There was once a time,

When I couldn’t find,

the words to describe what I felt.

Let alone how the situation should be dealt.

My best friend’s dad,

Made me feel real sad,

For what he said was down right rude.

I couldn’t believe what he said he believed was true.

He asked what my educational goal was, sophomore year,

I replied and said a dental hygiene career.

He then laughed and said “the only thing you’ll be good for is laying on your back”.

I sat their speechless thinking how to respond to that.

That friendship ended

As for that objectification didn't.
