the girl on the train

a brief work encounter

passerby’s on the street

a curious new friend

same feelings will come

same feelings will go

faux memories flow in

and flow right back out

these women i encounter

so smart, so pretty, so brave

just for existing

in a world built for men

my heart aches for you

and the memories we might make

i find myself in love

every other day
