A Wonder

you are a wonder

the reason for my tears at night

a deep echo filling my head

convincing me I´m all alone

Yet you shaped me into who I am

or at least who I want to be

you´ve somehow managed to show me who´s waiting for my demise

and those who were only here for self preservation

you have hurt me in so many ways

destroying my self confidence

inticing me to loathe myself

because Loneliness,

you killed a part of me

whispering in the shadows ¨nobody wants you¨

and I foolishly conceded to your murmurs

but in time,

a lot of time

I stopped letting you convince me that all these terrible things were true

I began to build myself up from the makings you tore down

Now I´m even better because no longer when I hear your terrible whispers will I listen.

Like a vaccination, I needed you in my life so I could become stronger.

And for that, I thank you.
