The Wonder of a Child

Dear Mother, I wonder what you see when you look at me. Do the brown of my eyes sparkle as your own? Are they a mirror image or a sad copy. Do you remember my first steps The way I hit against your stomach years ago. Or are my eyes reminiscent of the future. Of a chance you never had The dreams you never chased. Are you proud to watch me run the way you never did? Tell me mother, if you could what would you change? Or would you have it stay the same. I love you mother that much is true. But I will always wish you loved this life The way it loved you. Sincerely yours, Your little girl
