Wonder of the World

Simple joys make life worth living.

Waking every morning to the smell of coffee,

reminding me that somewhere near,

someones loves me.

The birds chirping make me look to the window.

That beautiful window that casts a greyish halo

on all that  is seen through it's lasting portal.

The window that allows me to look out

to see that beatiful world at my fingertips - waiting,

as the wind lazily laps the curtains,

and the smell of coffee warms me

as the sun rests happily on my face.

It's the simple joys that make life wonderful.
