Wonderful Creation

As I wander around this world of eyes

I begin to see a world of lies.

We hear about it on the news, in the stories that tell life.

We see it in the eyes of the broken man, or the hurt wife.

And I say, this is a wonderful creation?

I see the perverse men, living for their lusts and pleasure.

The ones who run to evil and sin without measure.

They break the hearts of the beautiful daughters of God,

They run around and live for their desires abroad.

Not honoring their fathers, their mothers, their wives,

Running around and living childish lives.

And I say, man is a wonderful creation?

I see the adultress women, seeking to tempt men to hell,

Putting on such skimpy attire, they trap the strong in their spell.

Their careless perverse attitude and evil devices,

Cause the ox to go to the slaughter of their perverse spices.

And I say, woman is a wonderful creation?

Then I see the God of forgiveness and love,

The one whose desire is for me, and His throne above.

I see how He made man and woman perfectly and gracefully,

But we ran away from Him perversely and shamefully.

And I say, I am a wounderful creation?

But then I see Jesus Christ, dying on the cross,

Being butchered while alive, so that we may not have endless loss.

I see Him risen again with forgiveness in His eyes,

No children of repentance would He ever despise.

The love, the power, the wonder; the freedom from my sin,

Knowing that this is just the intro, and true life is about to begin.

And I say, this is a wonderful creation!
