Wonderful Milk

I was so happy to eat my cereal one day,
And then I was disturbed in a very horrible way.

I set the table oh- so- nice, it look perfect I felt
And once I sat down, I realized, that we were out of milk.

I angrily put my shoes on, and grasped my keys and phone,
“I’m going to the store right this second, my cheerios cants be alone!”

I stormed through the store with haste, like I was chasing down a spy,
I had a terrible look on my face and kept asking myself ''why”?

I finally reach the dairy isle, which seemed so far away,
And grasped the wonderful gallon of milk that was going to make my day.

I got home fast and raced to the table where my bowl patiently sat.
I run through the house into the kitchen, and then tripped over my cat.

The milk took off and went so high and finally hit the floor,
But I was going to give it a try and be a hero once more.

I sort of broke its fall but, my hope didn’t live much more
When almost a whole gallon of wonderful milk was on my kitchen floor.

I poured what was left onto the cheerios and it was just enough,
I had more milk on me, than in the Bowl and that was so messed up.

And yet I happily munched, even though this wasn’t very fun
But I set out to get some milk and I still got it done.

The cat come out of its hiding  spot and helped me clean up the floor,
As my spouse sleepily walked in and said '' Please tell me we have some more?''
