A Wonderful Year
This year was a wonderful year
It was a year full of love and hate,
full of mixed emotions that complicates
everything we think we know.
It was a year full of tradgedy and loss.
Idols dropped dead, surprising us all.
It was a year where a dead mokey won more votes
than actual candidates.
It was a year of personal loss.
Mothers and fathers,
Grandparents and children.
Whole families have perished,
but nobody knew, nobody cares.
Because who cares about the beautiful teenage girl,
who never knew her worth or the love others had for her,
a young girl who had her whole life planned out,
but couldn't see the goddess everyone else thought she was.
Nobody cares about a girl who did not even become an adult
before the future she deserved vanished forever.
Still, nobody cares because
This was a wonderful year.
