Wonderland
Starry eyed and blinking
washed with bleach and coal
gasoline and matches
to ignite the world we know
dark refuge brought from shadow
and quaking beneath your feet
here your faith lies still
and breath escapes your lips
cloaked in fog and wisdom,
as the tears water the gilded flowers.
