Wonders Beneath

In this crowd I am alone

With familiar faces I've never known

I'm like a shiny penny that's been left unseen

Like a silhouette of secrets and mystery

I try to be content with lonliness

Just because I'm scared to take the risk

They don't understand my silent ways

If only you knew me, you'd be amazed

If you did, I'm sure you'd be surprised

At what wonderful things that you will find that lie

Past these quiet blue eyes

Afraid of the ill words that are ignorantly said

I keep to myself instead

Hopefully someday the chains will fall

I will stand in front of all

Finally, I will be free

Free of pointless misery

That day you will see

The absolutely real me
