Wooden With No Strings

Started off as a lump of wood,

Mistakenly moaned and thrown under the hood.

Crafted in the form of a boy,

No mistakes, no bruises

Creates a real puppet boy.

Pinocchio!

Pinocchio will be his name!

He will laugh and dance

And grants wishes as demand,

But if he fails to amuse others

He will not only age a year

But ten years forward.

Pinocchio disliked the sound of laughter

In order to stay young he must obey his masters.

Walking around with the meanest grin,

Hearing kids jump and dance,

Fulfilling the dreams of every human being

Keeps me young and stress free.

Failed to make two twins laugh

Watching them jump from happy to sad

Aged me 10 years way too fast!

Learning from my past mistakes,

Not only keeps me young

But keeps a smile on my face.

With no strings attached kept me in a better place
