Wooing the Angel

“You can’t buy love but you can pay heavily for it”

-Henny Youngman

Two suitors raced to win their angel’s dain

Like Lovesick puppies they came

But the Lioness is not so tame

Those two tried to bribe her with riches

And woo her with bouquets of roses

But all they gained were stitches

Oh not physically one can be sure

The shining star is quite demure

But on their heart where there is no cure

The others slowly withered away

Worsening day by day

From the high price they did pay.

The lovely girl, she found another

A man sincere, but poor, an emotional lover

He holds the key to her heart; he is her answer
