A Word

A word, a letter, a text A note, a song A poem I write these on a simple piece of notebook paper I write these on a napkin, in a journal, on my homework I write these for myself, for others Why? It is a way of communication A way that is easy, Easier for me than to speak A way that I am comfortable with A way I know I can get what I want to say with fluidity Writing words that become the lyrics to my life Sometimes in hate, sometimes in love, sometimes because I just don’t understand Why? I write to feel better, I write to speak, I write to see To see with different eyes that make me the person I am I write with my heart, with my soul To break this insecure shell around me that can only be broken with A poem A song, a note A text, a letter, a word
