My heart forever sings--
Though guilt still lurks so near
Word of God grace brings
Still sovereign is my King
When Future fills with fear--
My heart forever sings.
My worries far He flings
When chaos clamors near--
Word of God peace brings.
His comfort closely clings
When words profoundly sear--
My heart forever sings
He lifts me up on eagle’s wings
Above the race severe--
Word of God strength brings
My mind to heav’ly things
Death whispers in my ear
Still my heart forever sings
Word of God life brings
