Word of the Lord

My life is simple.

Nothing crazy, nothing extravagant.

an item that holds the words of me,

my meaning of life and the reason for my being,

My Bible.

White leather with gold accents,

thin pages that quote my savior and his story.

Some may say thats cliché,

but it is who I am.

It contains my salvation history,

my vocation on Earth,

and the prayers to get me through the day.

The word of the Lord is like any other,

no friend, no family member, no motivational speaker,

could lead me on the path of life

and inspire me to wake up every morning with hope.
