Poetry doesn't have a specific definition there are no standards or limitations The curtain never closes on you, the stage will always be yours whenever you grab a pen and paper and you take the floor Poetry doesn't need a reason does not occur in a certain season to impress it doesn't need a pedestal without explanation it's incredible Poetry is one of the few words that does not belong to one sole definition Anyone can become an artist pages transformed into a canvas with metaphors bold and bright in the stanzas Personification can be seen in the background palace Exquisite and vivid words replace seen figures yes! it's possible to have a page long picture because Poetry is what it is, it doesn't need a specific definition Countless stories can told no matter how young or old with poetry pages turn into counselors, pens into microphones scrambled thoughts into crystal clear words any and all voices can finally be heard Poetry is music with tone and rhythm as the beat formed into harmonizing songs that sound sweet and filled with fantastic figurative language Poetry can be the food that unhealthy people need to eat I’ll fix your plate, in the meantime go ahead take a seat Poetry can be anything varying from the most complex to nursery rhyme easy you have no boundaries a place where trapped souls gain their liberty poetry is free for expressing whatever frightens, or enlights he or she Poetry is the key to the shackles of your feeling and I'm not even kidding You can be whatever you want to be If you like everyday can be halloween Poetry's doors are always open for limitless amounts of emotions With poetry opinions are released from critical judgement opinions are free from any sort of punishment poetic opportunities are limitless\ and the cost of expression is priceless Poetry is what it is, one of the few words that doesn't have a specific definition The centuries of mankind's destruction has never damaged poetic production Poetry does not need a specific purpose for me tis the only way to lift my burdens A tool to be used by any kind of person a universal bandage that soothe all kinds of hurtin Allows for the shy introverts to be bold and makes seat for the ignorant to enroll into the school of self expression students take out your notebooks, you're pens here comes a distinct poetic point of view so carefully listen because the words just may be the water your parched ears needed so take heed these lines could be button that open your eyes to see the forest for the trees Poetry is an instrument that any ammeture can learn to play i'm a self taught musician, i found my own way Poetry allowed me to put my ideas on the big screen I'm very grateful for this gift God has gracefully given to me I can say things in rhyming lines that my brain couldn't find the time to emit and I love every stanza of it grab a pen and paper, the clay’s in my hands and with this sculpture, I show the people what I see so hopefully i can get them to understand what it's like to see through the the eyes of me Poems allow you to give the audience a pair of your shoes for a while to wear and in the process soak up the feel of the soles that knowledge is something they will never be able let go Poetry is amazing in itself, it doesn't comply to webster’s definition what is poetry to you? and with it what do you do?
