The Word Poetry

The word Poetry

Makes me laugh.

I do not know how to make an entry,

Nor do I know where it ends on my behalf.

I thought I'd be like them,

Those people that taught themselves how to write.

I wanted to use idioms, literary devices,

And much more to make a good storyline come out right,

But the poems always fail and fail,

And when I pick it up it turns frail and frail.

I search for traditional poetry and their messages,

Even new ideas, new thoughts, and new lines,

But the poem always holds vocabulary of randomness,

And I read it like a written numeral on an abacus.

And not to forget about voice, theme, and time!

Where should I even begin to make the poem shine?
