Hello, hola,

Bonjour, ciao,

All are words of salutation.

Goodbye, adios,

Au revoir, ciao,

All are words of valediction.

Ciao and ciao, goodbye and hello?

Words are funny that way.

The same word can have two different meanings.

Or multiple words can have the same meaning.

The list of confusion-causing customs of communication goes on and on.

But I find it beautiful, confusion and clarity--language is an art.

Without words, what would life be?

'Twould be dull and empty, if you ask me.

Each and every one of us needs language in our lives.

If you don't agree, you can try to debate me,

But to do so, guess what you'll need . . .
