Words

It's not about love
It's not about nature
What invades our minds
What invades our lives.

It's not about being the best
It's not about being an artist
What impacts us as human
What impacs us as beings.

Poetry is not an art
But an extension of us
Poetry is our mouth
Our hands, our heart.

What we can't express
Poetry will express
What we can't feel
Poetry will feel.

It's not about love
It's not about being the best
It's about ourselves
How poetry is ourselves.
