Words

Valuable yet worthless
Full of love yet overwhelmed in hatred
How could this be?
So far from my understanding
something as simple as a word;
such power, such impact

Even as I write this, words encompass me
Even years from now
the only thing certain will be words;
And their power to define
Who I Was
Who I Am
Who I Became
