Words

Words can have teeth

Carved sharp like a spear

Thrown at us by the mind

Of those we hold the closest

Words can hurt

True or untrue

The wounds are still deep

Sometimes we need stitches

Actions speak louder than words

But words can still be so deafening

That you can't hear the music in the background

Listening could save you from the pain

Some of us have armor

We all have an achilles heel

Words always find something to pierce

Trekking on is the only cure
