Words

With all we say,
Keep in mind,
The words we say,
Go on display.

We have our ways,
Yet after all,
We all can feel,
What’s good for all.

Many times,
We fail to see,
Just how wrong,
Our thoughts can be,

Better words,
At the end of the day,
Make better lives,
And a better way.

Better ways,
That get us by,
With no harm done,
If we try.

We can’t erase,
The words we say,
When the fears we have,
Are on display.

Words of war,
Are sometimes spoken,
At a time of peace,
That isn’t broken.

As we use words,
We should know,
The path ahead,
Begins to show.

The words we use,
Are only a start,
To save our days,
From coming apart.

The words we use,
Are only a start,
To share a peace,
That lives in the heart.
