Words

The words are screaming to break free of the bars in my mind. Find a key and shout until my throat grows raw with blood and anger. Scars on every word from my tongue begrudgingly biting them back. The sour taste of acid in my mouth.
The rage shown with the blood of millions. All those who tried to scream but found their vocal cords cut. Each word released, clipped. Like the wings of a bird as it never stops trying to take flight. Clipped, like the branches of a tree merely reaching for the sky. One day I shall scream and every word will boil with fury. I will not be restrained. And for once they shall listen.
