Words

Words spill on the page

Heavy words that hit you like lead

Light words that drizzle like rain

Phrases that stick in your head

Always remembered.

It’s always been the one relief

From stress, from life.

I am never without,

Never withdrawn from words.

Spoken word, written word

It is all the same.

With word, wars are created as well as ended

Love is made, and lost is lost

Truth escapes, lies explained.

A few little words such as

‘I love you’

Can change the world.

Use some words, string them along,

With words one can change the world.
