Words and Lips
Your lips
– Gateway to your heart –
So thin, so pink, so tender,
Like rose petals;
Wet are they not with dew
But with nectar,
The eternal and the sweetest amrita.
Through fabulous movement of the lips,
Nectar-laden words you generate
Get entangled on lips
Before mixing into air.
Words you speak
Weave into language
And become eternal.
Your words are
Sweeter than any natural sound.
For me,
They’re hymn
Giving solace to soul.
