Words and Pearls

I think in colors and shapes

Letters in strings won't come to me

You ask me what my mind is reading, but my eyes won't see

My tongue curls, my thoughts become downcast

You constrict my self, my words

Just by asking me with your voice

I'm upset; I don't own a tongue that can express

I leave my most special thoughts at the back

In the bottom of my heart

My eyes have lost track of all the loves in me

Leave them to flake away into grey

I could sit on the porch all day

And read the sky

Let my mind wander into the atmosphere or down into layers of soil

Get it dirty, let it stay that way

Bathing in the filth of human creativity

But then I couldn't stand up and speak to you

With my lips knotted up and my throat clogged with colors

I've been surging with happy and sad for so long

There aren't any ways to express, but silence

I'm shaken, that there's no such thing as green

Mountains and plains, grassy hills and trees stretching up

Steeped in "life", that all cancels the rest

There is no more bright to see after being blinded by the sun

Just by asking me with your voice

You constrict my self, my words

My tongue curls, my thoughts become downcast

You ask me what my mind is reading

But my eyes won't see letters in strings

I think in colors and shapes

Just give me pearls

They're easier swallowed
