Words Are Spirits

We are what we eat.  Of course

I’m not talking about food,
but our mental.
Turn on the radio or TV,
Feed off evil.
Like a signal, we send out what
we take in. Recycled cycles of
Black people with problems,
it’s not a race issue,
but it helps contribute,
to the devolution of our
Language. Sticks and stones
will break your bones,
but, names will never hurt?
Bullshit!
Approximately four centuries
of “nigger’’, the “massas” plan.
The European man’s
discriminatory glory:
beat a black man until
he sees the
hairline cracks in his
fractured spirit.
from there, he takes care
of himself. Generation upon
generation of self-destruction….
because of words.

Words are spirits and we got
a few demons
hidden within the deepest
reaches. Embedded in the
subconscious,
so that every time we speak
those fiends flow freely from
heavy tongues,
and loose lips it’s,
crazy how we don’t take into
consideration what we say,
and being young isn’t the reason,
but the permanent mind state
those words, whips and chains
made, sewn the blindfold we
identify as reality.
Threads of hate language wove
together strips me bare of
everything. You can see the
whip lashes engrained on my
brain. No senses as I walk the
distance in the shackles of my
ancestors.
This is my reality.
So watch what you say.
Re-evaluate the sown seeds of
your discarded past, Learn from
bridges burned in the heat of
speaking.
You may have said something you

regret while you were sleeping…
