Words are Weapons

As much as I wish it weren't true

I care what others think

Even if they don't think the same

That's why I've tried to perfect myself

It doesn't work

Cause your words can stab me

They can push me to the ground

Your talk can shoot me

They can break and they can bruise

Until I'm black and I am blue

And I can't tell up from down

Words are weapons

Everyone conceals and carries

All these weapons hand in hand

Pulling the out when convenient

They can kill and they can break

Until there's no one left to take it anymore

There's a solution

Learn to fight the fight

And beat them at their own game

Not with weapons of violence

But weapons to make them melt into a new self

To make them put their guns away
