Words of Confession

I'll be straightforward, alright?

I haven’t talked to you in a while...

I tell myself I don’t have time

While I spend hours writing about my life

I tell myself the world’s too big

And it’s hard to find one particular friend

Even though I still see you now and then

I don’t want to listen to them

But I keep hearing your name

I don’t understand a thing about

What’s going on in your brain

It can’t be good though

So I want you to know

You’re better than what you might think

I can’t explain it all right now

(And yes, I know that’s cheesy)

You did more than you’ll ever realize

For me and in other people’s lives

I wish you luck on your way

With all these words I’ll never say.
