Words Fail
The sound of keys clicking intensifies.
Each letter is flung onto the screen
forced in line with its fellow comrades to form unnatural sentences.
The author continues ferociously ignoring all misspellings, grammar, and sentence fluency.
Letters, words, sentences try to form an picture of a person,
their character,
their identity.
But all that is formed is a distorted, two-dimensional image of a body.
Not even a person.
The space bar blinks as the rampage ceases,
waiting for the next command.
The frustrated author, cursed with perfectionism proceeds to delete the last paragraph.
Words.
The tool of communication, sometimes fail
If only, if only,
You could see the world through the eyes of
a teenager, a student, an older sister, an outdoors enthusiast, a spinanch lover, a tree hugger, a middle distance runner
some one who dedicates every hour to the perception of success,
some one like me.
I’d love to share
Only if, only if
words fail
